Discovering the Animals of Ancient Oregon provides readers with a number of valuable insights into some of the key fossils discovered in the John Day region of central Oregon. Brief biographies of some of the earliest and best known fossil hunters in the region during the 19th century are provided to establish an essential understanding of how the first fossils were interpreted. Then, the author provides an in-depth examination of the fossil evidence for more than ten fossil species discovered in the John Day area. All of these fossils are examined in the context of a Biblical flood perspective.
