the encyclopedia is a print and online reference work covering genetics, genomics and proteomics and bioinformatics. the major focus will be on the human genome and proteome, with special reference to pharmacogenomics, as well as eukaryotic animal models and important human pathogens. the encyclopedia contains articles at a variety of levels, from introductory to in-depth reviews. each section of the online version will be updated regularly, either by revision of existing content or by the addition of new material. the online encyclopaedia will use advanced navigation tools to cross-reference the material in this multidisciplinary work. crossref will allow linking to other published content.
