Reseña del libro

Espejos de las fugaces is Joumana Haddad’s self-conjure against suicide, which begins with a painful introspection of her own identity. “Let me kill you, life, so you can have me; so I can possess my own life,” exclaims the poet in a desperate cry to free her mind from contemplating her own suicide. Once she is able to weed out the field of her personal reality, she then steps into the lives and motives of other poets’ successful suicides.  Alfonsina Storni, Marina Tsvietaieva, Florbela Espanca, Sylvia Plath . . . they all find their voice once again through this intense and meditative scrutiny of the position of women in contemporary society.
