From the Illustrator's Note: I found it a challenge to depict the events of Gulliver'svoyages, as he is often either too big or too small for his surroundings. Imaginingthese in pictures was my main focus in the demanding task of illustrating thewritings of Jonathan Swift. Swift was writing three hundred years ago, so forhis Gulliver's Travels to meet the needs of a modern reader, parts of his book have been adapted, and then illustrated to help theadventures spring to life.
