Reseña del libro

There are six verses in the Bible which have been traditionally understood as excluding same-sex relationships from a holy life with God. Yet today many Christians are discovering a disconnect between this interpretation and the witness of gay followers of Christ. Here we dive deep into a layman's study of the text of the sacred Scriptures to evaluate the evidence and ask if the Spirit is guiding us into a new truth for our age. Follow along with ample in-book Bible reading, notes to verify information for yourself, and some context from the world of the Bible as we look at the following six topics: - The Sodomites in Genesis 19; An Abomination in Leviticus 18; The Death Penalty in Leviticus 20; Male-Bedders in 1 Timothy 1; The Effeminate in 1 Corinthians 6; Unnatural Acts in Romans 1. This study was born out of a sister's challenge to her brother to discover how he could support both same-sex marriage and the authority of Scripture. It's written for others who wonder this, or who want to support their gay friends yet not throw out the Bible, or for anyone else who desires to understand the changing understandings in this area.
