Twelve young authors and 12 real crimes, many of them recent, which have taken place in Barcelona: that is the premise of this anthology in which each short work of fiction draws on press clippings and other sources to highlight some of the most noteworthy crimes in the cities history. The Vampire of Ponent Street, the assassin of Pedralbes, the killer of old women—these are a few of the protagonists of these stories in which fiction and reportage combine to stretch the limits of the crime novel, the postmodern story, and the urban myth.
