In the conclusion of this sci-fi epic, Stanislav travels back to meet Nikola Tesla but his presence alters reality and things turn out differently than one might think; Yuri returns to Rome to find it embroiled in war with Islam, and in order to save Noonsa's life he becomes a necromancer; and Lawrence and Charlotte travel back to find civilization before 'civilization', which also turns out to be completely unexpected.
