It is parallel in format and content to The Ultimate Guide to the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series, also by Riordan. The guide features short paragraphs and plentiful full-color, glossy illustrations that should delight readers of the series. Also included is a fold-over, magnetic closure cover with lenticular printing and four triangle-shaped character trading cards that can be assembled into a freestanding pyramid. Fans of "The Kane Chronicles" will enjoy having a reference that both compiles and goes beyond some of the explanation in the books, but those unfamiliar with the series will not find enough narrative here to dive into the story.
