Reseña del libro

This volume contains a collection of surreal, dreamlike, cinematic poems. Scholars are uncertain whether the poets included in this book took drugs to produce the inebriating qualities of the poems, though readers through the ages have found the verses to be intoxicating in themselves. It is said that Stephen King was inspired to write the Dark Tower series after having read Robert Browning's poem, "Childe Roland to the Dark Tower Came," which is the inaugural poem in this volume. The poetry included in this anthology has been compiled to enkindle the creative mind - poems from great Romantic writers like Percy Shelley, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Christina Rossetti, Gerard Manley Hopkins, Lord Byron, William Blake, Edgar Allen Poe, Adelaide Anne Procter, and Lord Tennyson. Neither opium nor mescaline is required to savor the trippy heights of psychedelic wonders contained in these pages.
