Reseña del libro

In 1970, José Luis Merino (Bilbao, Spain, 1931) arrived to Mexico in charge of a contemporary painting and sculpture Basque exhibition, inaugurated at the Palacio de Bellas Artes. During his stay in Mexico -which was extended until 1971- he also visited Guadalajara and decided to start a series of interviews with celebrities of the Mexican culture. His purpose was to publish the material in a book, after all his interlocutors reviewed, corrected and approved the transcribed texts. This conversational set was the spiritual portrait for each of the interviewees, a great and lucid testimony about the Mexican culture back in those years.
