"Just Joe" introduces a bartender who believes he's an angel sent to rescue his patrons-and who does his best to complete his mission. The dark comedy "The Marvin Snafu" jumps the moral line with a retired man who decides to rob banks when he's blindsided by the loss of his pension-only to have his booty end up in the most unexpected place. With rich characters set in unique circumstances, these stories will have you both amused and reflective.
