The various foundation techniques which have been in vogue are physical and chemical alteration methods and tension resistant foundations. Tension-resistant foundation techniques are innovative techniques in which tensile forces generated through the process of swelling are counteracted through introduction of deep or anchor foundations. This book is a work on a parametric study of tension-resistant foundations.
