This newfound awareness keeps him optimistic through his ostomy reversal, abdominal reconstruction, and lung and liver surgeries. The book is filled with extraordinary optimism while displaying the deepest feelings of a person navigating the challenges of cancer. It is a beautiful mix of emotion and humor while educating others directing them through the maze of cancer. It is a must read for those who are struggling to battle cancer whether newly diagnosed or an experienced survivor.
