In each occasion where an altar was built, God did something special in the life of the altar builder. Today we no longer build altars made with stones, but rather spiritual altars where we have encounters with the living God. David Chapman is the founding pastor of The River in southeast Arizona. He is the author of more than 15 books. He is also a certified church consultant. David has a Doctor of Ministry in Theology. His wife Debbie is a Veterinarian and together with their children and dogs, they enjoy the desert life.
