Brené Brown (1965) es una académica, escritora e investigadora estadounidense, actualmente profesora en la Universidad de Houston. Brown nació y se formó en Texas, completando un Bachelor y una maestría en Trabajo Social en la Universidad de Texas en Austin, y un doctorado en la Universidad de Houston.

Durante más de quince años, se ha dedicado a estudiar temas como la vulnerabilidad, el coraje, la vergüenza y la empatía. Es autora de tres libros que fueron Nº 1 en la lista de best sellers del New York Times: Los dones de la imperfección (2010), El poder de ser vulnerable (2012) y Más fuerte que nunca (2015).

Su trabajo innovador se ha difundido ampliamente en medios como PBS, NPR, TED y CNN, y su charla TED sobre "El poder de la vulnerabilidad" es una de las más vistas.
