Reseña del libro "EPSO CAST Law: How to succeed in the selection procedure (en Inglés)"
This book will help you prepare the EPSO CAST Law tests of any function group to be selected as a contract agent by the EU Institutions. It includes a guide for the whole selection procedure, support to your self-motivation, tips to improve your application and being shortlisted, strategies to increase your score in the tests, advice for your interview, and the materials that you should study to pass the competency tests/interviews organised by the recruiting services. The content has been updated following the changes in CAST procedures in 2023. All this from the personal and professional experience of a successful candidate in numerous tests designed by EPSO and other EU agencies (computer-based tests, intermediate tests, case studies, and assessment centre interviews), being an official at the public administration in Spain and having held several positions as a Head of Unit from 2009 to the present, mostly in the areas of human resources, finance, programme management, law enforcement, competition, ICT implementation and e-government, and general administration. He has also worked as a national expert at the European Commission, gaining additional experience on communication and political affairs at the EU level, provided training to civil servants, and coached many candidates for open competitions (reasoning tests, 'talent screener', practical exercises and interviews), helping them improve their abilities and competencies.=========== Author's note: I would like to clarify, regarding a comment of one of our readers on a possible mistake on page 54, that the first edition of this book was published before the reduction from 28 to 27 Member States, due to the Brexit; still, even in that edition, we strongly recommended visiting the websites provided to check potential changes for this reason. In any case, all the content of the book has been updated in the current version (mandate 2019-2024; MFF 2021-2027), as well as in the other books of our CAST collection. On the other hand, the table of contents of my books is available for free in Amazon (just going to the eBook version and having a look at the first pages of the book). As you can check there, first part of every book is very similar for all the profiles (i.e., my insights and tips on the CAST procedure), but second part contains fresh materials for the competency test in each profile. The book is structured as a clear summary, easy to read (by using font size 12, spacing 1.5), about what to study for this profile. Most of my readers told me that they passed their CAST tests in different profiles (HR, PM, Finance, Law, Political affairs, Communication) just by reading my respective book in the field, so I think you will find it useful too.
