The Forest Management Information System (FMIS) is envisaged as an integrated system which will be used to support the planning, implementation and monitoring of multi-objective forest management activities. The species database has been linked with above spatial details. BIS allows identification of gap areas, species / habitat relationship and helps in biodiversity conservation planning by setting priority areas.
