Robin Lane Fox (Eton, 1946) es un historiador, clasicista y escritor británico, conocido por su profundo conocimiento del mundo antiguo, especialmente Grecia, Roma y Alejandro Magno. A lo largo de su carrera, ha logrado acercar la historia clásica a un público amplio, combinando rigor académico con una narrativa accesible y amena. Fue profesor de Historia Antigua en el New College de la Universidad de Oxford, donde también obtuvo su doctorado, y colaboró durante más de treinta años con el Financial Times. Su labor ha sido reconocida con premios como el Duff Cooper Prize y el Wolfson History Prize, que destacan tanto su investigación como su capacidad divulgativa.
