Whether you are getting outside help or not, it is absolutely vital for you to take ownership in your own recruitment. Just playing high school ball, club ball, and relying on a third party to get you a scholarship is not enough. At the end of the day, you are the one that wants to play college basketball and no one will be as passionate about your future dreams as YOU! From my experience, if you are not one of the top players in the nation, you will have to sell yourself to the colleges and coaches. You can't sit back, wait, and hope they find you, but instead you must be proactive, market yourself, and recruit them.
