Mariko Tamaki es una escritora canadiense nacida en Toronto, conocida por su trabajo en novelas gráficas, literatura juvenil y cómics. Comenzó su carrera en el ámbito de la literatura con obras centradas en temas de identidad, adolescencia y experiencias LGBTQ+.
