Tim Probert es un ilustrador, escritor y director de animación estadounidense, reconocido internacionalmente por su aclamada serie de novelas gráficas de fantasía para todas las edades, Lightfall.Estudió pintura en la Universidad de Boston y comenzó su carrera en la animación. Durante una década, trabajó como director de arte en el reconocido estudio de animación Nathan Love, donde lideró proyectos visuales para marcas globales como Nickelodeon, Pokémon y Crayola.En el ámbito editorial, Probert ha destacado como autor e ilustrador de literatura infantil y juvenil. Su obra más famosa, la saga épica Lightfall (que incluye tomos como La última llama), ha sido traducida a más de diez idiomas, cautivando a lectores de todo el mundo con sus mundos mágicos y reconfortantes mensajes sobre el valor y la superación. Además, ha aportado su talento visual ilustrando la popular serie Dungeon Academy del universo Dungeons & Dragons.Actualmente, Probert continúa desarrollando sus proyectos de ilustración y animación desde su estudio, y reside en el estado de Nueva York junto a su esposa Jodi y sus dos gatos.
