Are you curious, like me about unsolved mermaid mysteries? More important than just feeling off balance I did feel freer after meeting Black Fin. Free to open my eyes and invite a new view of my surroundings. I felt free to see and discover beauty all around me all the time. Did Black Fin appear on the rock under the Sellwood Bridge to inspire me to appreciate the sacredness of nature? I wondered. Still the mind hammered me with questions. Yes, I felt afraid, yet, somewhere somehow inside of myself I knew I couldn't dismiss what happened to me. I couldn't shake it off. And then, I realized the only way I could comprehend what happened to me was to let go of my fear. I had to fly free of my mental taboos and accept what happened was an experience beyond my current understanding of what is real or not real. Yes, I allowed this magical experience to penetrate my heart. Then, and only then did I understand the truth behind why Black Fin let me see her. It became crystal clear what I needed to do.
