Edward Ashton es un científico y escritor estadounidense que reside en una cabaña en Rochester, Nueva York, junto a su esposa y sus hijas. Además de su carrera literaria, es vicepresidente de Imagen Oncológica en el laboratorio Biotelemetry Research, donde se dedica a la investigación de nuevas terapias contra el cáncer. También ha impartido clases de física cuántica.

En el ámbito literario, Ashton ha publicado relatos en medios como Louisiana Literature y Daily Science Fiction.
