The tension ramps up as the clock ticks down to the August bank holiday rave, and young revelers begin to pour in from all corners of the county. But things do not go to plan; moneylenders, drug dealers, the county council, and the bank all set a collision course with Mostyn and Jethro. It's not clear who will get out alive. This is an electrifying debut thriller which pits a struggling Welsh farming community steeped in centuries of religion and tradition against the unstoppable rave movement of the 1990s. A brilliant evocation of place and people during a pioneering period, capturing voice and character with a journalistic eye for detail.
