Christina Rossetti (1830-1894) fue una de las voces más destacadas de la poesía victoriana en Inglaterra. Su obra se caracteriza por una sensibilidad profunda que explora temas como la espiritualidad, el sacrificio, el amor y la condición femenina en una sociedad marcada por convenciones rígidas.
