She spends six months recovering in a hospital and loses track of her policeman, who she now realizes she is deeply in love with him. To bury her grief and take her safety into her own hands, she joins the Marine Corp as a sniper. Ten years later, Krystal, older, wiser and bitter, returns to New York to continue her search for the man who shot her AND her father.
