The author describes "The Glory Days of WCHK" as a casual history. Much of the information is based on Byron Dobbs' memories. One of the original employees of WCHK, he remained there for 40 years advancing from "gofer" to General Manager. Dozens of humorous stories, including a fan letter from an inmate of Atlanta's federal penitentiary, raids on moonshine stills and a high school majorette dropping her flaming baton which set the grass afire during a football game, make this book enjoyable reading.
