On April 1, 1865, Confederate General Robert E. Their hardships include railroad tracks and bridges that have been destroyed by Union Army, but their travels continue by wagon train, ferries and pontoon bridges. This book has romance, adventure, intrigue and old Civil War photographs to guide the reader through an action-packed story. An interesting conclusion gives the reader a historical documentary of accurate facts and speculation from treasure hunters what might have actually happened to the lost Confederate gold and silver during the final days of the Civil War. Bradford Boggs is a new writer, novelist, and historian. He's a graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University and longtime resident of Richmond, Virginia. "The Last Confederates" is his second novel.
