""The Willows"" is an example of early modern horror and is connected within the literary tradition of weird fiction. And seven other novellas or novelettes, including the famous "The Wendigo".

Lovecraft, quien lo definió como «maestro absoluto e incuestionable de la atmósfera espectral».
