And finally there are a large number of students who, because of the abundance of details, can no longer see the entirety of the subject. This volume is addressed to those groups. In a series of essays published since 2017 in the "Korrespondenzblatt des Bayerischen Pfarrer- und Pfarrerinnenvereins", renowned rep-resentatives of Biblical Studies present current discussions or controversial questions. They address important topics of the current theological debate, such as the discussion on the death and resurrection of Jesus or the new perspectives on biblical anthropology. An-other focus is on articles on biblical figures such as Moses, Herod, Pilate or Peter. The col-lection is supplemented by some previously unpublished articles.
