Older adults are a diverse cohort with a wide array of capacities, interests, and needs. Despite the fact that aging is a highly individualized and complex process, it continues to be stereotyped, especially in Western cultures. Any stereotype-positive or negative-fails to acknowledge the diversity of individuals within the group and can be used to justify social oppression and prejudice. All too o-ften, older adults are viewed as a burden on society rather than celebrated for the incredible gifts and talents, which they have to offer. Written from a Christian perspective, this book provides insight into the spiritual needs and religious practices of older adults.
