Design for Behavioural Change, Health, Wellbeing, and Sustainability (en Inglés)
Reseña del libro "Design for Behavioural Change, Health, Wellbeing, and Sustainability (en Inglés)"
Encouraging healthy living and promoting wellbeing at all ages are central to the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Recent global challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, and widening social inequalities, have highlighted the urgent need for integrative and resilient approaches that simultaneously address health, wellbeing, and sustainability. Design is increasingly recognised not only as a means of shaping products and services, but also as a strategic driver of behavioural and systemic change. This Reprint brings together interdisciplinary research that examines how design and design thinking can support behavioural change to enhance individual and collective health, wellbeing, and environmental sustainability. The contributions explore design interventions across diverse contexts, including digital health technologies, built and urban environments, service systems, and community settings. Drawing on behavioural science, human-centred design, and systems thinking, the studies demonstrate how design can encourage healthier, more sustainable, and more socially responsible behaviours. Collectively, this Reprint highlights the potential of design to empower individuals and communities, support public health goals, and contribute to more inclusive and resilient societies. It offers valuable insights for researchers, designers, policymakers, and practitioners working at the intersection of behavioural change, health, wellbeing, and sustainability.
