Reseña del libro "Disappear (en Inglés)"
Can a person actually disappear? Hide from someone and not be found? Laney is kidnapped and held by Taggart in an empty dirty apartment. Taggart is someone she had once considered a friend. One rainy night he grabs her out of the apartment, pushes her into his car to take her . . . who knows where. She narrowly escapes by taking his car, leaving him with a concussion, a broken leg, and a hospital stay. But later when she opens the trunk of his car, she discovered a bag full of money. Who is Taggart and what is he into? This is much more dire that she ever thought, and she was terrified for her life.Insanely angry at Laney for his broken leg, Taggart is determined to find her and make her pay. He pursues her along with two thugs hired by a sinister syndicate, a group that Taggart also works for. The group accuses Taggart of taking the money for himself. They all desperately need that bag of money and will do anything to get it.Wallace, a slightly awkward young genius and neighbor to Laney's grandmother, helps her disappear--to hide from Taggart. She follows his advice, moving around to different states, giving Taggart mixed signals, causing him to look in all the wrong places. Laney finds herself being stalked not only by Taggart but also by an austere-looking woman who makes her uncomfortable with her hovering presence. Is this another pursuer?Feeling sad and alone, stalked by pursuers, she finally ends up in a place where she is welcomed and safe. A place to build new friendships and a new relationship that leads her to new group and to the ultimate Grand Pursuer.
