Diego Rivera (1886-1957) fue un destacado pintor y muralista mexicano, conocido por su compromiso con el arte social y político. Su obra abarca principalmente el muralismo, en el que plasmó la historia y la lucha social de México, destacándose por su técnica y el mensaje profundo de sus obras. Aunque más reconocido por su trabajo visual, también incursionó en la literatura con algunas publicaciones, aunque no fue un escritor prolífico. Entre sus obras más emblemáticas se encuentran sus murales en el Palacio Nacional y el Museo de Arte de Detroit, y su coautoría en libros sobre su arte y su visión del mundo.
