Over time, I have discovered that we are forged by the experiences we have gone through in life. Our temperaments, lifestyle, actions, attitudes, etc are often times influenced by our past experiences, especially during childhood.Some of us have gone through terrible things that have caused us pain too acute to describe, yet too real and evident to be forgotten.We have been abused, maligned and hurt so much so, that now we go through life in motions like zombies, with no enthusiasm, joy or excitement.Anger, pain and resentment have become the threshold of our lives. Often, this deep-seated anger and hurt are wounds left over from the hurts of childhood.Looking around the nooks and crannies of society, I see mentally, physically and emotionally tired, depressed and frustrated people who are merely existing by acting out a script that had been written for them long ago.It appears that these people, due to the bad experiences during their formative years, have become blinkered, disillusioned and disenchanted in life.Some of them have even become so disintegrated that they resort to addictive and harmful lifestyles.This book serves as a rescue and a hope for the tired; to assure them that their past hurts and pain can be a stepping stone to finding their purpose in life. This is a clarion call to forget the gloomy past and look forward to bright horizons.There is a cure for the broken, depressed, abused and neglected girl who looks for love in all the wrong places. There is help for the lonely young man, who goes about, with the whole world seemingly weighing down on his shoulders.It doesn't matter how ugly your life may look right now. Regardless of what you've been through, or where you currently are, it's not over yet. Look at it, as a caterpillar who is about to become a butterfly.Everything (both negative and positive) that has happened to us has been orchestrated from the very beginning to bring us to our purpose.I understand that any form of abuse can change your life, but it is who you become afterwards that makes you such a beautiful person in this dysfunctional world.EMERGE!
