Every examination causes nervousness. It is natural for human being. Group discussion and interviews are also examinations. Many people regret in life that they didn’t share information about their achievements properly and therefore they lost opportunities in life. We all get some or other opportunities in our lives. We succeed only if we prepare well and take every examination seriously. What is needed is a planned approach towards the forthcoming examinations and preparation for that. I am fortunate that I have been able to help many students in preparation of Group discussion and Interviews. I have been able to see transformation of students in their performance. I record the videos of the students and I find huge difference in first mock interview and the second and third interviews. I find that every one of us can transform and give outstanding performance through planned efforts. There is a gem inside you. You are a great human being. You have amazing potential. You have very high goals and aspirations. You wish to contribute towards development of society and towards nation building. You wish to contribute towards good values and thoughts. You are the most suitable person. However, if you will not speak, how will people come to know about it? If you will not open your mouth, how will the judges come to know about your potential? You are outstanding, but your outstanding should be reflected in your performance. You are a truly egalitarian person. You are truly a democratic person. You have right values. However, if you will not show these values and these ideas before others, how will others come to know about it? It is also your duty to share your ideas, values, goals and aspirations. It is natural for people to get nervous at the time of any examination. It is natural for every person to commit mistakes due to stress and anxiety. Therefore build your self-confidence and reiterate to yourself “I am OK”. Recall your achievements and your well-wishers. Learn and practice the art of presentations. Undertake many mock group discussions and mock interviews. Build your competence through repeated efforts and exercises. If you still face any problems, read the text in this book, which may be of help to you. If you have any doubt, please feel free to call. I have witnessed many shy students getting transformed through well planned efforts. It is possible that you are not able to express yourself properly, but take help of counselors, experts and carry required credentials with you and present your best.
