Caroline Kepnes (Barnstable, Massachusetts, 1976) es una escritora y guionista estadounidense reconocida por su serie de novelas de suspense psicológico protagonizadas por Joe Goldberg. Tras graduarse en Civilización Estadounidense por la Universidad de Brown, trabajó como periodista de entretenimiento y guionista en series como 7th Heaven y The Secret Life of the American Teenager.

Su debut literario fue You (2014), traducido al español como Tú y adaptado a una exitosa serie de Netflix. Le siguieron Cadáveres ocultos (2016), Tú me amas (2021) y Para ti y solo para ti (2023), consolidando la saga como un referente del thriller contemporáneo. Además, publicó la novela independiente Providence (2018), que combina romance, suspense y elementos sobrenaturales .
