This story is about my experience during living abroad with the eight cities in four countries, which include China, Singapore, Canada and the USA. Like many foreign students, I have had to face the pressures of everyday life; I have spent the peaceful time in the universities; I have enjoyed visiting the wonderful places; I have achieved the success in the company; and I have gone through difficulty in life . The story describes why I left China after earning my PhD degree; how to challenge myself in Singapore; how to start a post doctoral research fellow work in Canada; how to continue the post doctoral research fellow work in America; how to transfer position from academia to a senior staff engineer; and how to fight against the sickness in America. My experience is a story of honor, frustration, loss, effort, success, and hope. I am facing some rain. I know that the storm will be gone soon, the trouble will have passed soon, and I will still be standing.
