The lawyer who ran over her, laughed in her injured face and drove off. A terrible series of events followed wherein a young woman was deprived of her film star looks and body, suffered unbelievable pain and suffering, starting with a botched operation for a torn meniscus, involved an extremely nasty, but well-connected doctor, with no conscience whatsoever; and she suffered humiliating treatment from all sides and then ended up trapped in a foreign country; crippled and broke.
