Reseña del libro "I'm Black, i'm White: A Stake in the Expectation of What we Fear (en Inglés)"

The author is a bearer of multiple degrees: a Social Work Degree, from Kean University in Union, New Jersey (formally, Newark State College), a Master's in Education (The Curriculum), from California State University Dominguez Hills that includes degrees in: Sociology, the Social Sciences and History. Prior to his migration to Los Angeles, he taught in the secondary schools in Newark, New Jersey. In Los Angeles, he landed a teaching job with the Los Angeles Unified School District working in South Central, and later, because of school's desegregation mandated by the State of California, was shifted to the San Fernando Valley and its upper class community. There, he worked for three years, but, determined to help the poor, he maneuvered his way back to the "Hard to Staff" schools of L A and a career of disciplining students of Black and Brown decent. Davis also attended a religious Presbyterian School that educated many Blacks, in Tuscaloosa and throughout the South, studying the Bible at, Stillman College. After a successful teaching career, Davis was motivated by a second generation relative, Doctor Yvonne Stokes; whose traveling to Africa began to heighten his enthusiasm toward the field of anthropology and the study of DNA molecules and human migration. This turned his interest into the curiosity of an age old study of human beings and their trek out of Africa. This curiosity is the proof that encouraged him to write this profound book to pounce on, and to, uproot a stake in the expectation of what we, Americans, may fear in the mixing of the races. Are there answers in mediating or dealing with society's ills? Open and read the book, I'm Black, I'm White, to find out. This book may irritate some and enrage others, yet it may be used as a guide for a better constructive Curriculum.
