Ralph Waldo Trine fue un connotado filosofo, mistico, profesor, autor, y tambien una de las figuras mas importantes del movimiento New Thought. Sus escritos tuvieron una gran influencia en muchos de sus contemporaneos. En ellos encontramos verdades eternas que han sido expresadas repetidamente en anos recientes, aunque no con la misma claridad: siendo conscientes del poder de nuestros pensamientos y armonizando nuestra voluntad con la Voluntad Divina, atraeremos paz, salud, amor, prosperidad, y exito. La vida mistica es una recopilacion de textos diversos publicados antes en sus obras En armonia con el infinito, Lo que todo el mundo busca, y La mente forma el caracter. / The fact that thoughts are forces and that, through them, we have creative power, is one of the most vital facts of the universe; the most vital fact of man's being. And through this instrumentality, we have in our grasp and as our rightful heritage, the power of making life and all its manifold conditions exactly what we will. Through our thought-forces, we have creative power, not in a figurative sense, but in reality. Everything in the material universe about us had its origin first in spirit, in thought -and from this, it took its form. And a most wonderful and beautiful fact of it all is that all growth, all advancement, all attainment made along the lines of the spiritual, the soul, the real life, is so much made forever and can never be lost.
