In Philosophical Dialogs For The 21st Century, retired philosopher professor, Dr. Glenn Rogers, offers a series of philosophical dialogs designed to provide a conversational presentation of several important areas of philosophical thought, including the problem of evil, the existence of God, the purpose of life, morality, human nature, the nature of reality, and key sociopolitical concerns, including social justice, social structure, and the role of government on society. Rogers uses his main character, Dr. Baker, the way Plato used Socrates to engage the reader with philosophical speculation in a way that allows the reader to follow the reasoning and decide for him or herself whether or not Dr. Baker offers a convincing argument. Philosophical Dialogs For The 21st Century is an excellent text for beginning philosophy students, or for the casual reader who wants to think seriously about the questions Dr. Rogers includes in his text.
