Dr. Lilian Welsh was a dynamic force behind the development of women's physical education facilities in the United States, using Goucher College as her pulpit. As the Professor of Hygiene and Health at Goucher College, located in Towson, Maryland, her papers are held in the Goucher College Special Collections Department.
