Reseña del libro "Shadows at the Manor. A romantic adventure in 15th-century England... (en Inglés)"
The family saga continues into the 15th century! For fans of Alison Weir, Elizabeth Chadwick, Conn Iggulden and Philippa Gregory.
Royal conspiracies lead to civil unrest...
1401, Lincolnshire, England
Following the imprisonment and death of King Richard II, his cousin Henry Bolingbroke of Lincolnshire has taken the throne.
Not everyone accepts him, and the conflict in England unsettles those who live there, including the inhabitants of Grimsthorpe Manor House.
Living at the estate is seventeen-year-old Grace Amundeville d'Albert and her wayward cousin, Jasper.
The master of Grimsthorpe is Sir Rogier, Jasper's father, but he is away fighting Owain Glyndwr on the Welsh Borders. He has therefore left the estate under the management of his relative, Luke Summerheyes.
When strange things start to happen at the manor, Grace catches a glimpse of the perpetrator and thinks they resemble either Luke or Jasper, but she can't be sure who.
And as reports of robberies start to circulate, Grace knows she must tell someone of her suspicions, but she is determined to work out for certain who is behind the crimes first.
But as the flicker of romance begins to take hold, her heart starts to interfere with her plans...
Who can Grace trust? Is someone close to her betraying the manor she calls home?
And can she unmask them before Sir Rogier returns...?
