The world is like a book, where you have to go inside to learn. Getting to know Puerto Vallarta has awakened an interest in knowing and living with the local community within the ejidos, inspiring us to analyze the transition that the local community of "Las juntas y Los Veranos" and "Servicios Ecoturísticos Playa Grande" has gone through until incorporating tourism in the development of enterprises related to the tourist sector in order to know the environmental background of the community and to observe the most important social factors that can be influenced by the tourist activity. The importance is due to the conditions and needs of both the activity and the local population, as they evolve over time, being susceptible to change. As we get to know new places, we realize that travel is not only useful to relate expectation with reality, but also to discover things as they really are, instead of imagining how they will be.
