Reseña del libro "SOMOS MÁS UNIDOS - CASA DEL UNITED: NMU Academy Fundraiser (en Inglés)"
SEND NM UNITED ACADEMY TO USL FINALS SOMOS MÁS UNIDOS - CASA DEL UNITED is named for our NEW MEXICO UNITED ACADEMY. The NEW MEXICO UNITED ACADEMY is a house built for New Mexico youth, by New Mexicans. It is a house where dreams can be reached from the hard work inspired by what the future holds for young people from all communities of New Mexico, giving them opportunities to shine and see what being the best we can all be means for us and the world. This book was created as a Special Fundraiser to help pay for Academy travel expenses that are no longer covered by the Somos Unidos Foundation, with the goal of keeping high-level soccer accessible to New Mexico’s standout youth players. Although the Foundation is no longer paying for travel expenses, they still fund the bulk of the costs associated with the Academy. The foundation was initially set up to ensure that the Academy's house would be rent free. From the Somos Unidos Foundation page on New Mexico United's website: "The Academy is free for all selected players. It includes training by experienced and qualified staff, full competition and uniform, travel gear, and covers all travel, accommodation and meal costs during academy competition. New Mexico United Academy is the youth program of the USL Championship New Mexico United professional team. Our mission is to provide all New Mexican youth soccer players with the opportunity of competing at the highest level of youth soccer at no cost with a direct path to train and play for our first team. New Mexico United Academy is a member of the USL Academy League, featuring regionalized competition to limit travel demands, a clear youth-to-professional path, the USL Academy Cup (mid-season event), and an end of season play-off event. In addition to USL Academy League competition, New Mexico United will have the flexibility to create its own schedule against top competition against MLS academies, international clubs, NCAA Division II/NAIA teams, UPSL teams, and USL League 2 teams." SOMOS MÁS UNIDOS - CASA DEL UNITED is a Special Fundraiser - 2026 Playoff Edition to help the pay the upcoming mortgage on New Mexico United Academy house to cover travel expenses. This book is a compilation of Academy photos, media interviews, articles featuring first Academy signee Cristian Nava, Academy Head Coach David Estrada, 2026 United 1st Team Academy Contract signee Winston Starr. All royalties from book sales go directly to pay for and cover the Academy roster's travel expenses. NMUA Boosters is also raising money with a GoFundMe account (See GOFUNDME QR code on back cover to donate) to send the New Mexico United Academy soccer team to the USL Academy finals in Bradenton, Florida. The boys went undefeated (10-0-2) to win the USL Academy Cactus Division and earn the right to play for the national championship. Players and coaches alike have worked hard to earn this opportunity. Now it is our turn to support our New Mexico talent! All funds from the GoFundMe fundraiser will go directly toward the team’s travel needs for the trip from Dec. 2 through Dec. 6, including airfare, van rentals, gas, hotel, and food.
