As I stand strong before you, I stand with a man who has always been there for me. The man who has strengthened me in ways only He could. The Man who continues to show me His unconditional love. As I stand, this Man gave his only begotten son. As I stand strong before you, I stand with someone who sacrificed everything for me. Someone without hesitation gave his life for me and my sins. Someone who was stretched wide, nailed to a cross, abused, misused, abandoned, and betrayed. Still like the dawn He rose. He rose and He gave what no one could give another, his Spirit. As I stand strong before you, I stand with a feeling of confidence. A confidence which has been embedded in me from the very start. The gift of Jesus. It is the Holy Spirit. I stand in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, and self-control. So, as I stand with three powerful forces with me, I've trusted all three and they have never failed me. You may not physically see them, you may not physically hear them, you may not physically touch them, BUT look at Who's Standing. I have been placed in many fires and have come out unburned and without a scent of smoke. I'm a Wounded Warrior Newly Nourished Making Meaningful Movements. LaQuisha Martin-Hillian is a strong believer that God is the author and director of her life. LaQuisha is married to Dennis, mother to Xavier, daughter to Bernice and Bruno. The sister to Chris, Nikki, and Omarr. LaQuisha is also the author of Pearlie Gates. She desires to encourage and empower others to acknowledge their trials and storms as a badge of honor through God's grace and mercy.
