Reseña del libro "The Intrepid Heart of Joe Oscar (en Inglés)"

The Civil War is over, but times remain turbulent in America, and nowhere more so than in Saint Louis, gateway to the West and a thriving hub of social and economic activity. The city's streets teem with fur traders, riverboat travelers, lawmen, and others who make their living along the frontier. Among them are Joe Oscar and Dave Wall, two young friends in school together in the city. Joe is falling head over heels in love with his sister's friend Marci, but he doesn't have the chance to reveal his feelings before tragedy strikes. When Marci's uncle Matt is murdered, Joe and Dave set out to seek justice for his death. Freshly appointed as US deputy marshals, the pair head west into the beautiful and dangerous Wyoming Territory to find the killers and bring them to justice. Along the way, they cross staggering mountain ranges, ride the newly laid Union Pacific Railroad, and uncover the disturbing secrets of the men who killed Uncle Matt. Set during a decisive era in American history, The Intrepid Heart of Joe Oscar is an uplifting story that will delight both armchair historians of the American West and fans of classic western fiction.
