The Mermaids Purse (en Inglés) - Richard Cave

The Mermaid's Purse is a wartime mystery with heart, set in 1940s Cornwall, where a picturesque fishing village's uncanny ability to help each other in times of crisis isn't just traditional hospitality - it's something far more dangerous.

When military authorities arrive in Porthaven, they're immediately suspicious. How does this remote community always seem to have precisely the right resources when needed? Medical emergencies are mysteriously funded, village improvements appear overnight, and everyone's problems somehow get solved. As the investigation deepens, it becomes clear that the villagers are hiding something that could destroy them all.

But beneath the surface lies a centuries-old secret rooted in guilt, redemption, and an ancient covenant with the dead. When the truth finally emerges, it will test loyalties, challenge duty, and prove that some bonds are stronger than any authority.
