Reseña del libro "The Murder Club at Number Nine (en Inglés)"

For six years, piano tuner Toby Wren has heard a bell that nobody else can hear. It rings one clear note, then a name, a day and an hour, and then somebody dies. He has never once managed to stop it.Now he has run out of places to run. Number Nine, Harrow Lane, is a seaside home for the very old and very sharp-eyed, with a lift that sticks, a cook who rules by pudding, and a Thursday Club that has never missed a meeting. On his first day the bell rings for a man in the village. By supper it rings for someone at the dinner table.Dorothea Pellingham is seventy-nine, a retired magistrate with a walking stick and a low opinion of coincidence. She believes him at once. With a retired bus inspector, a former stage manager and a pharmacist who can read a prescription like a confession, she forms the Murder Club at Number Nine: five amateurs with a borrowed teapot, a visitor's book, and one rule from the bell itself. It only rings for deaths that have been planned.Somebody in the house is planning them. Somebody who pours the tea. And Hallowe'en is coming. The Murder Club at Number Nine is a warm, wry cosy mystery with a thread of the uncanny: a locked circle of suspects, a house with a secret in its walls, and a gang of pensioners who refuse to go quietly.
